Karen Knox is proud to represent
JA of Mainland Nova Scotia at CANJAC 2001. Karen has spent the last two
and a half years as JA staff in the Halifax office, managing the
Business Game and Business Basics programs. She has also been involved
with JA at the national level, working to develop a universal web site
and the Career and Life Planning Portfolio. She has enjoyed attending
the JA Atlantic Conference (JAAC) over the past three years and is happy
to be back on the logistics team at CANJAC for the third consecutive
year.
Karen's experience with JA along with her Recreation Management Degree
from Acadia University has helped advance her into the field of event
management and fundraising. She recently left the big city lights of
Halifax for the country air in the Annapolis Valley where she is working
as the Development Coordinator for SOS Children's Village Nova Scotia.
Karen has made a promise to return to JA this Fall as a Company Program
Advisor.
In her down time, Karen can be found water skiing at the cottage in the
summer and skiing the slopes in the winter. She also enjoys traveling
and spending time with friends.
Karen sends a big thanks to the JA staff, achievers, and volunteers who
make CANJAC such an amazing opportunity!
