Calgary Airport Authority

The mission of the Calgary Airport Authority is, in partnership with others, to add value to the community by providing quality airport services and facilities and promoting economic development and community well-being.

The corporate governance processes of the Calgary Airport Authority are structured to promote the purposes and business of the Authority as set forth in the Regional Airports Authorities Act (Alberta).

The Calgary Airport Authority board of Directors has Standing Committees tasked with functional oversight of specific areas.

Among the Standing Committees are:

Airport Development

Advisory to Airport Development

Environmental Affairs

Finance and Audit

Governance and Compensation

Public and Governmental Affairs

Safety and Security

Ad Hoc

These committees may make recommendations to the Board but do not have decision making authority independent of the full Board of Directors.

The Calgary International Airport is a private, non-share capital corporation. All surpluses are reinvested in the airport.
